Getting started
What is DataForge?
DataForge is a gamified learning platform for data engineering. 24 courses, 152 lessons, 400+ exercises, a Bug Hunt arena with real-code challenges, a 153-term glossary with spaced repetition, plus levels, streaks and badges. Think Duolingo, but for data engineers.
Do I need to know how to code already?
Some Python and SQL helps, but the early phases assume you're starting fresh. Each phase builds on the previous one, from foundations all the way to Forge Architect.
How long does it take to finish?
At a steady pace of 1-2 lessons per day, most learners finish a phase in 2-3 weeks. The full journey across all 24 courses takes a few months of consistent practice.
Billing & trial
How does the free trial work?
Every new account gets 7 days of full access to everything — courses, Bug Hunt, glossary flashcards, AI tutor. No credit card needed to start. After 7 days you'll need to subscribe to keep paid features unlocked.
How much does the subscription cost?
€2.99/month (US$ ~3.20) or R$ 19,99/month for Brazilian customers. Less than a coffee. Cancel anytime.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the Subscription page from your account menu, click 'Manage subscription' and Stripe will let you cancel in one click. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access until then.
Do you offer refunds?
We don't pro-rate refunds for partial months because you can cancel at any time and the 7-day trial gives you plenty of room to evaluate. If you were charged by mistake, email luk14236@gmail.com and we'll fix it.
Which payment methods are accepted?
All major credit and debit cards via Stripe. For Brazilian customers, Pix and boleto may also be available at checkout.

What's covered in the 24 courses?
Foundations (Docker, Linux, Git, SQL, Python), data ingestion, storage formats (Parquet, Iceberg), modeling, batch (Spark, dbt), streaming (Kafka, Flink), orchestration (Airflow), cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure), data quality, governance, LLMs and AI agents, plus sovereign-cloud and Big Tech architectures.
What is the Bug Hunt arena?
54+ real-world debugging challenges across Docker, SQL, Terraform, Python/Spark, YAML and Bash. Spot the bug, pick the right answer, or predict the output. Solve them to climb the leaderboard.
Is the content available in Portuguese?
Yes. The full platform is bilingual (English / Portuguese). You can switch languages from the header.
Will my progress be saved?
Yes — XP, streak, lesson completions, Bug Hunt solves and flashcard reviews are all stored in your account and synced across devices.
Account & technical
I forgot my password. What now?
From the sign-in page, click 'Forgot password?' and we'll email you a reset link. The link expires in 1 hour.
Can I sign in with Google?
Yes — the 'Continue with Google' button on the sign-in page is the fastest way to create an account.
How do I delete my account?
Email luk14236@gmail.com from the address tied to your account. We'll remove your data within 30 days, per our Privacy Policy.
Is my data safe?
All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed. The database enforces Row-Level Security so only you can read your data. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe — we never see your card number.
